Responsible and accountable for organizational structure, functions and activities of assigned departments to ensure quality services. Ensures availability of staff and services needed to provide quality services in support of excellent patient care. Assures policies/procedures and practices of assigned departments are consistent with Herington Municipal Hospital's mission, goals and policies/procedures. Participates in development, allocation and administration of assigned departments' budget and resources to accomplish its programs and objectives. Participates with leaders from the governing body, management, Medical Staff and clinical areas in Herington Municipal Hospital's decision-making structures and processes. Provides organization, management and execution of assigned projects within assigned timeframes. Position requires a Bachelor's degree and five years experience in acute care hospital operations and management is highly desired. Candidates with an equal combination of experience and education will be considered. An advanced degree would be viewed positively. Basic knowledge of practice management, fiscal accountability, risk management and compliance.Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding. Demonstrated management experience and knowledge of the patient revenue cycle including but not limited to patient registration, charge capture, medical coding and billing. Must have working knowledge and experience with acute care hospital charge master.
Coordinates the hospital wide Quality Improvement/Risk Management program to ensure consistency with hospital policies, procedures and philosophy and to maintain and improve the quality of care given to the patient. Maintains communications with administration, medical staff and department heads regarding Quality Improvement/ Risk Management activities.
Prefer applicant to have clinical experience as well as 2 years experience in a supervisory position.
Registered Nurse - (1)Part time day shift, (1) Part time night shift
Assess the needs and priorities of patients and makes appropriate patient assignments to ensure a high level of care. Renders professional nursing services in the treatment and care of assigned patients in accordance with physician's orders. Provides for the comfort and well being of patients by assessing condition, providing treatments and administering prescribed drugs and documenting progress and other observations. Requires current licensure in the State of Kansas, BLS and ACLS certification. CPR certified. Recommend PALS and TNCC.
Radiology Technologist- Full time, Part time, or PRN shifts available
Operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by Radiologist. Produces recordings of electromotive variations in patient’s heart muscle, using electrocardiograph (ECG), to provide data for diagnosis of heart ailments by performing required duties. Requires High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Radiology training with ASRT Radiologic Technologist license.
MT/MLT- Full time, Part time, or PRN shifts available
Responsible for performing necessary procedures as directed by physician on outpatients, inpatients, long term care residents, etc. Provides input into development of departmental policies and procedures, participates in the development of new technical procedures and assists in maintaining current knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures and equipment operation. Assists as necessary in quality control program to ensure high quality diagnostic testing and all laboratory activities comply with organization and regulatory agency standards. 1-2 years previous lab experience preferred. MT/MLT certification in accordance to American Technologists requirements.
